Crystal Seeds

Drop the Quartz Crystal Seeds into a Water Source Block and they will slowly grow to Pure Certus Quartz CrystalPure Certus Quartz Crystals. They will not despawn while growing. Many recipes in Applied Energistics that use Certus Quartz Crystals and Fluix Quartz Crystals can also be crafted using the Pure Crystal versions. Which means it is more efficient to grind Certus Quartz Crystals into Dust, then craft 2 seeds, then grow those seeds into 2 Pure Crystals. Some recipes explicitly require the Pure versions of Crystals.

Crafting Recipe:

  • 1 Certus Quartz Dust,
    or Nether Quartz Dust,
    or Fluix Quartz Dust
  • 1 Sand
