Spatial Pylon

The Spatial Pylon is part of Spatial IO. You must have at least 3 Spatial Pylons stacked on top of each other to form a corner of the area you wish to capture. Each of the 4 corners make up your Spatial Containment Structure and each corner must be connected to your ME network. Each corner uses up 1 channel of your network. The color of the Spatial Pylon will indicate whether your Spatial Containment Structure is valid or not.

Same as Storage Components, craft any Spatial Component with an ME Storage HousingEmpty Storage Housing to create the Spatial Cell. And craft again to take it out. However, a 2x2x2 area seems rather small, so you're probably going to want to upgrade it to the 16x16x16 Spatial Component. - Unconfirmed.

Spatial IO Port

Connect the Spatial IO Port to your ME network, then add a Spatial Cell of your choosing. Apply a Redstone signal to capture / deploy the matter inside the Spatial Containment Structure to/from the Spatial Cell. You must have enough energy stored in your Energy CellEnergy Cells before it can work.

Please don't surround your entire ME system inside the Spatial Containment Structure. If you activate the Spatial IO Port, your entire base will be sucked into itself, and you will not be able to get it back!

The Applied Energistics Spatial IO feature supports blocks that are part of Vanilla Minecraft or AE itself. Other mods might not be supported. There is a community-driven project called Spatial IO Compat that may add Spatial IO compatability for your favorite mod.
