Portal to the Unknown Dimension

Constructing the portal is your only means of traveling to the Unknown Dimension.

How to Build

First, place the Portal Control Panel down anywhere. It must be connected to a source of power via Energy Wire. Then a Data Cable must connect the Portal Control Panel to the actual portal itself.

To construct the portal, craft 8 Portal Frames and place them in the corners and sides of a 5x5 square. Then the remaining spaces can either be filled by Iron Frame Blocks or Data Cable. For help you can refer to the pictures shown below.

Generate the Portal

Right-click the Portal Control Panel to open it's User Interface. By default the Portal Control Panel requires 5,000,000 energy, and each Portal Frame must have a different gem block in it. Right-click the Portal Frame to insert the gem block.

Once all requirements are met, click on the Generate Portal button to generate the portal. All energy gets drained, the gem blocks get consumed, and portal energy blocks generates inside the frame. You must hurry though, the portal only lasts for 40 seconds.

Added a warning that displays in chat when you craft the Portal Control Panel saying that I haven't programmed the unknown dimension quite right, and if you go through the portal, you will most likely spawn in the air and fall to your death.

  • Added a configuration option to Disable the Unknown Dimension. When this is set to true, the portal will not teleport players to the Unknown Dimension, and instead spawn 2 Unknown Technology items inside the frame of the portal.
