Unidentified Armor

The Overpowered Technology mod adds some additional drops to the Loot Tables of all hostile mobs. These will drop only if 2 conditions are met. First of all, a player must be the one that kills the mob, and even then, there is only a 1 in 100 chance the mob will drop an unidentified armor.

If you're playing with the Baubles or Curios mods, then there's also a very rare change that a hostile mob will drop an unidentified ring.

You can change which mobs are eligible for these custom drops by editting the configuration file.

Identifier

You cannot use unidentified armor until it has been identified with the Identifier machine. Once identified the armor will get one or more enchantments.

  • The Identifier is now restricted to holding only 1 item at a time. This prevents you from adding more than 1 item by hand or by Hopper.
  • Magic Ring changes and fixes:
    • Fixed hovering over a Magic Ring in the inventory was overriding the effects of a Ring you were wearing.
    • Fixed Magic Ring Rare and Magic Ring Unique not being translated for English languages.
    • Fixed Magic Rings with the Extra Health effect not working correctly.
    • Magic Rings now assign effects with ambient = false and show_particles = false.

The Overpowered mod no longer is dependent on the Baubles API, however Magic Rings will be registered if you do play with the Baubles mod.
