Building a Space Command

  1. We're going to add a few more Galacticraft machines. While you're following along through this objective, be sure to keep an eye on your battery's energy level. If you don't have enough power to keep all your machines working add more solar panels and batteries.
  2. Craft an Oxygen Collector. It will probably require items such as the Air VentAir Vent, Oxygen Fan Oxygen Fan, or Oxygen ConcentratorOxygen Concentrator shown on this page.
  3. Next craft an Oxygen Compressor and place it directly above or below the Oxygen Collector. Connect the machines to Aluminum Wire on the left side, and connect Galacticraft Fluid Pipes on the right side. Oxygen will transfer from the Collector to the Compressor.

The whole motif of Galacticraft is the ability to travel to other planets in the solar system. So of course you're going to need some survival gear, and none is more important than Oxygen. The Oxygen Collector, as the name implies, collects Oxygen. And since we're on the Overworld (Earth) there should be plenty in the atmosphere. The Oxygen Compressor is the machine that compresses the Oxygen into Oxygen Storage Tanks, which we'll use later.

  1. While you have the Oxygen Collector connected to power it will continue to operate, drawing power all the while. It may be prudent to craft a Switchable Aluminum Wire, which only connects Aluminum Wire when it recieves a Redstone signal, so we can control its power flow with a Lever. We can turn the Oxygen machines on, only when we need them to.
  2. Next build the NASA Workbench. This is the machine we're going to use to build our Rocket Ship, but we're not going to do that right now, so just find a space in your base to put this big machine down.
  3. Craft a Refinery. A Refinery converts Oil into Fuel. Assuming you've probably collected Oil in Fluid Tanks by now, you can route more Fluid Pipes to transfer the Oil into the input side of the Refinery. Use your Galacticraft Wrench to configure the Fluid Pipe to extract from the Oil Tanks. Once the Refinery recieves a supply of Oil, it will begin converting Oil into Fuel and store that Fuel in its internal storage. You can route another pipe to extract the Fuel from the Refinery into another Fluid Tank. Connect another Switchable Aluminum Wire so we can turn this machine on and off.
