Acquire Diamonds

  1. For your first 8 smelted Iron, craft an Iron Pickaxe, a Bucket, and Shears.
  2. Use your bucket to move water to your plants if they don't have water. Water can hydrate farmland up to 4 blocks away, so a single Water Source Block can hydrate a 9x9 area.
  3. Now with your Iron Pickaxe, continue exploring your cave to get down to the deeper levels. Or just make your own tunnel down to the lower levels. Collect any Gravel you see.
  4. Mine the lower levels (15 to 5). Fill Lava with Gravel. Store your Cobblestone in a dedicated double chest.
  5. For this step you only need to collect one Diamond to get an achievement. Save any Ores you find, only Smelt them if necessary.
