Enter the Nether

Gather all the Materials Needed:

  1. 2x Flint and Steel
  2. 14 Obsidian
  3. (Diamond Sword recommended)
  4. A full suit of Iron Armor
  5. A Bow (Enchanted recommended)
  6. At least 32 Arrows
  7. 10 Stacks of Cobblestone, or however much you want
  8. 2 Stacks of Torches

Get an Achievement for building the Nether portal and entering the Nether.

Build a Cobblestone room around your Nether portal to protect it. Keep a chest near the portal with an extra Flint and Steel in case the portal ever gets extinguished.

Keep exploring the Nether until you have acquired at least 2 stacks of Nether Quartz. Return to the Overworld whenever you've run out of something and deposit any useful things in your chests. Save any Soul Sand you find.
