Buildcraft Pipes |
Craft Buildcraft Pipes according to the data table below. From Transport Pipes you can craft Fluid or Kinesis Pipes. |
Kinesis Pipe
Combine any pipe with Redstone to create a Kinesis Pipe. Kinesis pipes are used to transfer energy from your Engines to the Buildcraft Machines. All Kinesis Pipes have a maximum capacity. If you find you are producing too much energy for your pipes, you must swap out that pipe with one that has a higher capacity. |

Pipe Sealant
Used to create Fluid Pipes. You can enable an alternate recipe in Buildcraft's config file that can also make Pipe Sealant using Slimeballs. |
Fluid Pipe
Combine any pipe with Pipe Sealant to make Fluid Pipes. Fluid pipes are used to transport liquids. Each pipe has a maximum capacity. |

Wooden Pipes
Wooden Transport Pipes can extract items out of containers. A Redstone Engine will extract 1 item at a time, and a Stirling Engine will extract 8. |
Extracts 10 mB per tick from Fluid tanks. |
Extracts up to 320 RF per tick from Energy producing sources. |

Cobblestone Pipes
Basic Pipe, High Drag. |
Transports 10 mB per tick. |
Transports 80 RF per tick. |
Stone Pipes
Basic Pipe, Medium Drag. |
Transports 20 mB per tick. |
Transports 160 RF per tick. |
Quartz Pipes
Basic Pipe, Low Drag. |
Transports 40 mB per tick. |
Transports 640 RF per tick. |
Sandstone Pipes
Connects to different pipe types. |
Transports 20 mB per tick. Connects to different pipe types. |
Transports 320 RF per tick. Connects to different pipe types. |
Iron Pipes
Combines multiple pipe lines into 1 output pipe. Use the Buildcraft Wrench to change the output. |
Transports 40 mB per tick. Combines multiple pipe lines into 1 output pipe. |
Used to limit the transmission of energy. Right-click with the Buildcraft Wrench to switch between, 20, 40, 80, 160, 320, 640, or 1280 RF per tick limits. |
Gold Pipes
Speeds up Items. Other pipes will cause drag. |
Transports 80 mB per tick. |
Transports 2560 RF per tick. |
Diamond Pipes
Sorts Items. Each side has a color. Right-click the pipe and place items in the colored slots to indicate which side to exit out of. |
Transports 80 mB per tick. Sorts Fluids. Right-click the pipe and place Fluid Container items to specify which side the fluid should exit out of. |
Transports 10240 RF per tick. |
Emerald Pipes
Allows a filter to be applied to limit what the pipe can extract. |
Extracts 40 mB per tick from Fluid tanks. |
Takes up to 2560 RF per tick from energy producing sources. |
Clay Pipes
If you have a chest next to a pipe line, items will go into the chest randomly. Using a Clay Pipe next to the chest will fill it up with items first. |
Any tanks connected to Clay Fluid Pipes will fill up first, before continuing through the pipe. |
Obsidian Pipes
Sucks up items. Connect an engine to the pipe to increase the range. More powerful engines will allow the Obsidian pipe to suck up items from further away. |

Void Pipes
Any items that enter this pipe get deleted. |
Any fluids that enter this pipe get deleted. |
