ME Glass Cable
These are the simplest form of cables in Applied Energistics. Can hold up to 8 channels. Can be painted different colors by crafting 8 of the same type of cable around a dye, or the Color Applicator or other Forge-compatible Paintbrush tool. You can craft it with a Water Bucket to return it to its default color.
ME Covered Cable
It is recommended that you convert all your ME Glass Cable to ME Covered Cabled as it can then be upgraded to more advanced cables as described below.
ME Dense Covered Cable
Dense Cable can hold 32 channels, but you can't attach devices to Dense Cable.
ME Smart Cable
Visually displays how many channels are in use.
ME Dense Smart Cable
Holds 32 channels and also shows channel usage.
Cable Anchor
Craft the Cutting Knife with any metal Ingot to get 3 Cable Anchors. Cable Anchors are decorative cable-mounted spikes. You can use them to create ladders with AE Cable, or make it look like the cable is mounted to the wall. Cable Anchors will prevent cables from connecting to other nearby cable.
